Biography -  Gina Warner

I've always painted and drawn for as long as I remember from about four years old, using anything I could get my hands on: my parents writing paper, the pavements outside our house, my exercise books and any scraps. I wanted to go to art school but my parents thought it was just a nice hobby and I would end up married anyway.

After getting married and having children I continued to have an interest in art, and with my husbands encouragement I took an A level art course at the Southend college in 1985 passing with flying colours! My only certificate.

Already a member of the Brush and Palette for over 30 years I was invited by the Arts Council to become their Representative/Organiser in 2009 which I enjoy very much as it gives me the opportunity to meet likewise people who love what they do best - PAINT. Soon after joining the Arts Council I then joined the Southend Art Club and have been fortunate enough to have met many more interesting people. What other interest gives so much pleasure while painting, and pleasure to others who appreciate what you've done?
