Although I have been painting all my life, including teaching art at a local primary school, recently I have been able to devote more time to my painting and developing my style.
I work in acrylic inks, watercolours, acrylic paint and art pens and am influenced by the natural world, particularly flowers, exotic flora, landscapes and the changing seasons.
My inspiration comes from visiting the parks and gardens around the world and by artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Monet, Kandinsky and Frida Kahlo. I am also inspred by my Dad who taught me to paint and draw from an early age.
My work can be natural, contemporary or abstract, using vivid, bright colours to complement nature's palette or softer blended colours to create more natural tones.
Every painting is a chance to experiment, learn and progress.
