Ray Andrews

I didn’t really start painting until about six years ago first taking lessons from Pauline Grove and then Paul Alcock, Andrew Hall and currently Brian Coppard. They have all shown me different methods of achieving my art and style which I am still trying to develop.

I paint mainly for the joy of it but do exhibit at Southend Art Club exhibition and more recently at other art exhibitions around the local area.

I am now the chairman of this club and a member of Rayleigh art club. I find membership of both enjoyable and am pleased to meet people from this side of life and not those I used to meet as a police officer for thirty one years in Essex Police.

My wife Jayne who most people know has taken on the role of secretary to the club and bakes cakes for our social activities.
