I discovered my love of art on joining my local U3A back in 2015, having retired from work and lost my husband. I have 'played' with various media, but find that I tend to favour soft pastels or acrylics, probably because they tend to be far more 'forgiving' than other media. 

I've had no formal art lessons other than those received in school many years ago. Other than these I am entirely self taught, I love watching other, more experienced artists working - I have so much to learn.
