There are 2 sides to my work. Tight, controlled realism and the more emotive charcoal/pastel/graphite work. I like subjects that have either a quiet presence or something powerful. I choose pieces that create a reaction in someone. Captivating beauty or thought provoking power.
Colour pencils are clear, concise and perfect for precision and delicacies. Charcoal and pastels are more expressive and create instant marks and decisive reactions.
