I have been painting since retirement, starting with watercolours but soon found that my favourite medium is oil. I have had no formal training but I always enjoyed drawing since an early age. I enjoy attending various studio classes as there is so much to learn from established artists. I mainly enjoy the solitude of painting and the peace of mind it provides. I have experienced plein air painting but prefer painting in my studio from my photographs.
