My artworks reflect my personal journey and exploration of diverse art styles, spanning from intricate palm leaf etchings of the East to bold, contemporary abstract expressions of the West. Born in India and later moving to the UK with my family, I draw inspiration from warm sunlit colours, dusky landscapes, and the deep cultural connections among people. These influences inspire me to experiment with different medium and surfaces, constantly pushing the boundaries of my creative practice.
After completing a PhD in Geology, I pursued my passion for art by completing a Level 3 Diploma in Art & Design at the University of the Arts, London. Over the past 20 years, I have exhibited widely across the UK and held solo exhibitions in Odisha, India. Alongside exhibitions, I have also been commissioned by organizations and private collectors, and I conduct art workshops—both virtual and in-person—for beginners and advanced learners.
I was honoured to receive the “Best Acrylic Artist of the Year 2018” award from the Southend Art Club, Essex, UK, for my painting Giles Family. I was selected to participate in Landscape Artist of the Year (Sky Arts, UK) in both 2022 and 2025 under the wildcard competition category.
Glad to be the author of two art books:
Creative Art—A Distinct Approach to Drawing and Painting and
Expressing & Experimenting with Palm Leaf Art.
The latter is available worldwide on Amazon.
My artistic interests are particularly rooted in sea landscapes and portrait painting, and some of my works have been published in the International Journal of Geriatric Care and Research (JGRC) and Srujan: The Creativity Journal. More recently, I have expanded my creative practice into jewellery design and fabric artwork, continuing to explore new ways of artistic expression.
