Mulberry Harbour

Our next meet up is earlier than usual, in the car park by Uncle Toms cabin café, Shoebury Common Road, Shoeburyness, SS3 9HG. It’s a walk as the tide is falling and will have about an hour to sketch/ paint the Mulberry Harbour. It’s a more challenging paint out so if you would prefer you can stay on the beach. Its recommended that you wear shorts and old trainers or aqua shoes, as to get to the old harbour we will have to wade through water knee deep. Wellies are not a good idea as they are likely to fill up. Whatever you wear on your feet your legs will get wet. The tide will be at its lowest at 09:52 am (0.88m). Dress sensibly for the weather. There is no shelter from the wind or the sun once you are away from the shore. It’s a good idea to bring a windproof jacket, wear sunscreen and a sun hat. This is a 3 mile walk will take approx. 2 hours there and back with an hours painting. If time allows you may wish to have a swim around the harbour.
